Trip to Hogsback, a beautiful mountain area not far from Alice,
(Fort Hare University which Nelson Mandela attended is located
near Alice). Real climate contrast from our villages. We
enjoyed our backpacker lodging where shots of
Jaegermeister (anise liqueur) were an evening treat.

The weather and environment were very agreeable for hiking
with beautiful forests (including a preserve with 5 CA redwood
trees!), waterfalls, birds, horseback riding, visits to unique
enterprises such as pottery and craft studios, tea rooms
and a wonderful fascinating Eco-shrine.
