| This was our first day of
winery tours and we began in the very old village of Fonterutoli
where all who live in the village participate in the winemaking.
They make Chianti Classico and Super Tuscans so our wine lessons
were off to a good start. After lunch a few kilometers down the
road we made our way to Isole e Olena. This winery has excellent
views and is relatively new. We were joined for the tasting by
a group from Sweden. Sandy spent much of the day on the phone making
sure all of the arrangements for Kate's surprise dinner party were
in order. The surprise was a success and the dinner and party were
excellent. FUN...FUN...FUN!! Thanks, Sandy, for inviting us! |
